Blaze Pizza Opening — Free Pizza Oct. 7
Blaze Pizza will be opening at Station Park in Farmington on Oct. 6. This is a couple of weeks past the date given me by the Station Park management, a lot of restaurant opening dates are fluid.
I was in the neighborhood tonight, so I stopped to read the signs in the window. They said that if you follow Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook can come in for a FREE build-your-own pizza on Friday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant , which seats for 84, is located in Station Park (260 North University Drive, Farmington), west of Hyatt Place.
According to Blaze Pizza’s website, it does custom “artisan” pizzas made in an assembly line. Think of Subway, Chipotle, Cafe Rio, etc., but for pizza. And it bakes in 3 minutes. Several news accounts online say that LeBron James is a part-owner in the chain. I’ve been to a couple of similar restaurant concepts, such as The Pizza Studio in Cottonwood Heights and Pronto Pizza in Southern California. In both of these, the crust was really thin, which I happen to like. Never tried Blaze before, so we’ll have to find out what it’s like together.
