“Imagine savoring delicious dishes while engaging in lively conversation with Alex, the owner of Rovali’s,” the announcement on Facebook says. “This is your chance to enjoy a delightful private meal, share stories, and maybe even a few laughs. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a unique night out, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!”

Rovali’s is celebrating 20 years in business. Alex and Kim Montanez initially opened their restaurant in Layton at Wyndom Square in 2004. But it wasn’t until moving to Historic 25th Street four years later that business took off. Once known as “Two-Bit Street” with seedy hotels, sleazy bars and other vices, 25th Street has evolved into a dining and shopping destination with local flair. And, Rovali’s was part of it.

If you’ve eaten at Rovali’s on the weekends, you probably already know that owner Alex Montanez is the friendly host who seats you, asks you how your meal is going, and maybe shares a few pleasantries.

“The guests say they think that’s one of the greatest things, that the owner is greeting and seating them, and it shows that I care about what we’re doing here,” Alex Montanez said.

Now you’ll have a chance to try some of Rovali’s signature dishes with Montanez, and maybe hear more about the Rovali’s 20-year story.
