Savor the Summit is back in Park City. One long — really long — table running down the center of Historic Main Street offers a unique outdoor dining experience. This year’s event is June 24, at 6 p.m. With about 2,500 diners attending, this is probably one of the biggest dinner parties you’ll ever attend.

“Savor the Summit’s communal table down the center of historic Main Street symbolizes what the Park City dining community is all about,” said PCARA executive director Ginger Wicks, in a press release. “We welcome guests to take a seat at the Grande Table to experience good company, incredible food and drink, live music, and thoughtful guest service to help us kick off another unforgettable summer season in the mountains.”

Here’s a look at past Savor the Summit event. Reading and reminiscing made me a bit sad, as we were seated next to a lively couple who have both since passed away through tragic circumstances. That’s one of the twists of sitting in one long communal table — you never know who your table mates will be, and you might end up making some new friends by the end of the night.

Although some of the restaurants have changed since I last attended, I’m sure the general idea remains the same — al fresco dining down the middle of Main Street, with surrounded by beautiful mountains, with stunning table settings and even better food and drink.

Here are the participating restaurants who will each set out a table and offer a prix fixe menu and pricing. To attend, you don’t buy a ticket. You must call participating restaurants listed to find out their specific menu and price, and to reserve a seat at their table. Many restaurants sell out, so you may want to call sooner than later.
