Utah Chef Appearing On TODAY Show
Set your RV recorders, Stein Eriksen Lodge’s executive chef Zane Holmquist will be on the Christmas Day Special of NBC’s “TODAY.” This is the fourth time that Zane appeared on the show’s cooking segment. He will appear within the 8 a.m. hour, Mountain Standard Time.
According to a
press release, Chef Holmquist will prepare candy cane kettle corn, honey-smoked almonds, peanut-butter-and-jelly hot chocolate and two cocktails: a Utah Stonewall and Utah Pumpkin Pie Whiskey Milkshake. Both are made with Park City’s award-winning High West Double Rye.
“This is an extremely exciting opportunity for me and the Lodge,” said Holmquist. “TODAY is such a highly respected national program and to be able to display our fare once again to millions of viewers will be an unparalleled experience.”
Under chef Holmquist’s direction, the Glitretind restaurant earned the coveted Forbes Four-Star award. His signature dishes include Seared Fois Gras and Crisp Bananas, Braised Utah Boneless Kobe Short Ribs and the famous Stein’s Wild Game Chili. The majority of Chef Holmquist’s dishes feature local produce and organic products. Holmquist has been invited to showcase his work at the James Beard House and his Glitretind restaurant at Stein’s has received the coveted Santé Restaurant award, AAA Four-Diamond, Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, DiRONA Award and Zagat Exceptional Rating.
