Cookbook Giveaway: “Family Celebrations with the Cake Boss”

As expected, there are theme cakes and desserts for 16 family get-togethers (Fourth of July Flag Cake, Mother’s Day Volcano Mousse Cake, Easter Basket Cake). But each event has a whole menu with recipes, and lots of gorgeous photos. For instance, the Manly Man Father’s Day Feast offers Roasted Rib Eyes With Horseradish Butter, Sesame Green Beans, Iceberg Wedges with Blue Cheese Dressing & Bacon, and Twice-Baked Potatoes. The finale of the meal is a Chocolate Peanut Butter Icebox Cake.

Valastro shares stories about his own family gatherings along the way.

Valastro is the star of “Cake Boss,” “Next Great Baker,” and “Bakery Boss.” Past books he’s written include “Cake Boss,” “Baking with the Cake Boss,” and “COoking Italian with the Cake BOss.”  He owns Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey, with multiple Carlo’s Bake Shops in the surrounding area.
