Two Utah Restaurants Among Opentable’s 100 Most Scenic Restaurants
You can’t eat a view, but the Utah restaurants among Opentable’s 100 Most Scenic Restaurants also have great food. When it comes to “scenic,” it’s all about location, location, location. Log Haven in beautiful Millcreek Canyon, and The Roof, with a downtown view overlooking the LDS Salt Lake Temple, both made the 2017 list.
Just curious — are there some other Utah restaurants that you’d pick as “most scenic?” For instance, the Glitretind in Deer Valley, Needles Lodge in Snowbasin, and Snowbird’s The Aerie all offer really nice mountain views. And so does Taggart’s Grill, just outside of Morgan, especially if you choose to eat on the patio.
Most of the time, the scenic restaurants mean “expensive.” But one place that affords a great view, with modest prices, is The Point at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. It’s the hospital cafeteria, but the floor-to-ceiling windows give a great view of the city. I met a nurse friend for lunch one day at The Point, and was so impressed that I talked my hubby into going there for lunch a few weeks later. Unfortunately it was in January — temperature inversion time. All we could see was the thick smog blanketing when SLC. SO much for that view! But my nephew had his wedding reception there, and at night, with the city lights twinkling (and no smog) it was pretty impressive.
