Craize — Prize-Winning Corn Crackers Are Part Chip, Part Cracker

I was recently sent a sampler pack of Craize Toasted Corn Snacks to try.
I’d call them a chip/cracker hybrid. They’re thin, but sturdy enough to stand up to thick dips or spreads. And they’re crisp, but more like a cracker, instead of a fried tortilla chip. They have a great corn flavor, with a hint of sweetness.
Craize comes in Everything, Sweet Corn, Coconut, Guava, Roasted Corn, Jalapeno Lime Plantain and Seeded flavors.

The Everything Flavor (with sesame and poppy seeds, onion, garlic, and rosemary) was named a 2026 sofi™ Gold Award winner by the Specialty Food Association (SFA). At the SFA’s Winter FancyFaire trade show, the SFA recognized it as a standout in Crackers & Crispbreads category. After trying a few of the different Craize flavors, the Everything flavor, with its savory garlicky-onion taste, was my favorite. Coconut took a close second, and I’d reach for it if you’re craving sweets.

Health-wise, these are better than a lot of snack foods. Craize snacks are vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and allergen-friendly. They don’t contain seed oils — only olive oil. A serving (12 crackers or 30 grams) is 130 calories, 3 grams of fat, 23 grams of carbs, 1 gram of fiber and 2 grams of protein. As a comparison, a serving of regular Lays potato chips (11 chips, 18 grams) is 160 calories, 10 grams of fat, 15 grams carbohydrate, 1 gram fiber and 2 grams protein. Craize crackers are lower in fat and calories, but higher in carbs.
“Winning a sofi Award is especially meaningful because it’s positive feedback coming
directly from the buyers shaping what’s next in specialty food,” said Michele Abo,
General Manager of Kayco Beyond, which recently added Craize ® to its portfolio of
brands.
The only drawback, as I see it, is that a 4-ounce pack of Craize crackers is around $5. At that price, I’d keep them as a “special” treat rather than an everyday snack. (If you’re looking for a budget- and calorie-wise corn-y snack, you can always air-pop a batch of popcorn. B-O-R-I-NG I know! But economical.)
Craize crackers would be a great party option since they can handle spreads or dips without falling apart, and they’ve got an upscale attitude.
Locally, you can find them at Smith’s, CVS and Whole Foods stores, or order them online.
(And FYI, this is NOT a PAID review. The Google ads and Amazon link on this site are the only form of payment I receive…so click away if you see something you like!)
