Chew and Chat Lunch At Twigs Bistro & Martini Bar
Chat and Chew is hosting a lunch at Twigs Bistro & Martini Bar at Station Park on July 10, promptly at 11:30 a.m. The restaurant will offer a prize drawing for a $25 gift card, so the lucky winner can come back for a future lunch or date night!

Since Twigs is a sit-down service restaurant, everyone will order off the menu and pay for their own meal, tip and tax.
Twigs opened at Station Park in September 2013. Located on the north side of the fountain plaza, diners can watch the fountain’s dancing waters while sitting outdoors on the popular patio, or indoors through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Twigs’ upscale ambiance, full service and food quality take it a step up from Station Park’s many fast-casual chain restaurants. It’s ready to impress, whether you’re doing a power business lunch or a relaxing dinner date.
The menu has something for everyone — salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, pasta and steak. There’s also a special gluten-free menu. In addition, the restaurant offers limited time chef creations, known as “Fresh Sheets,” that aren’t on the regular menu. Currently Sweet Baby Back Ribs are one of the Fresh Sheet offerings. Salads, pizzas, burgers and sandwiches are priced from about $13-$17.
“It adds variety to the menu, and the chefs have an opportunity to do something they are passionate about,” said general manager Alyssa Johnson.
Some of Twigs’ top-selling appetizers are seasoned french fries with gorgonzola dipping fondue, and roasted brussels sprouts flavored with bacon, brown sugar and chili flakes, then crowned with a sunny side up egg. The Bistro Steak Salad is a lunch favorite — sauteed steak tips over baby greens, feta, red onions, tomato, and roasted cashews.
Other menu items include:
Given that it’s also a martini bar, drinks are also a big part of the restaurant. The Lemon Drop is one of the most popular martinis, and also the Moscow Mule, served in a traditional copper cup. Owners are Jeff Blackwell and his son and daughter-in-law Trevor and Jayne Blackwell of Spokane, Wash. There are several locations in Washington and Idaho, and a second Utah location at Fashion Place Mall.
General manager Alyssa Johnson came to Twigs with ten years of experience at places such as Jason’s Deli, and Café Rio. She also spent four years working in retail, included assistant manager at Sam’s Club.
The major challenge of general manager is, “There are many different people here with different backgrounds and at different points in their life; and the challenge is to get everyone on the same page to work together as a team.”
