BIggest Loser: Jackson Carter Update
Last week I interviewed Jackson Carter, past finalist on “The Biggest Loser,” for an upcoming Standard-Examiner story.
He’s become a personal trainer at the Ogden Planet Fitness. On weekends, he flies around the country to take part in “The Biggest Loser” RunWalk 5Ks and 10Ks. He’s an ambassador for the Ogden Marathon’s 5K walk May 17. He will lead the group in a warm-up, and run the distance with them.
The big question, of course, is “Has he kept the weight off?” He said he’s gained the usual 15-25 pounds that most of the contestants gain after the show ends. But he’s also learned to lighten up a little, adopting an 80-20 rule of eating healthy 80 percent of the time, and realizing “it’s not the end of the world if I eat a chalupa.”
I’ll be sharing more of Jackson’s interview in coming posts.
