Free Pizza At Pieology on Saturday

Customized personal pizza.

Pieology, a new-to-Utah pizza chain, is giving away free pizzas at its grand opening Saturday, April 22 at 3601 N. Digital Drive #204, in Lehi.

Pieology offers made-to-order personal pizzas in unlimited topping choices, and stone-oven fired in less than 5 minutes.

You can choose from eight signature sauces, and more than 30 fresh meats, cheeses, vegetables, herbs and spices, for $8 or less. The restaurant also offers custom salads, as well as gluten-free and vegetarian options.

The new Lehi Pieology is offering one free pizza per person on April 22 from 11:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M. To receive a free pizza “invite”, customers simply need to become a PieLife™ member (no charge) by signing up at Pieology.com or text PIELIFE to 48307. Guests will immediately receive their invite, which they will need to bring with them or show on their phone to receive the free pizza during the set times on April 22.

As the fast-casual restaurant trend continues to grow, it appears that DIY pizza is the latest in customized meals. For years we’ve seen make-it-your way sandwiches (such as Subway) and tacos/burritos ( such as Chipotle and Cafe Rio) and self-serve yogurt. Chains such as Blaze Pizza, Pronto Pizza and the Pizza Studio are heating up the pizza business by having customers walk through an ordering line, and watch their pizza as its built to their specifications. Lots of mozzarella? A little goat cheese? Pesto? Pepperoni?  If you’ve ever felt restrained because none of your family members wanted kalamata olives, peppers or whatever on their family-size pizza, now you can make your personal pizza with all those toppings you love! And if you prefer just plain cheese, nobody is going to force you to order a lot of extra toppings you don’t want.

I’ve not tried Pieology yet, but I’m looking forward to it after having tried Blaze, Pronto Pizza and Pizza Studio. Meanwhile, you can sign up for your own free pizza this Saturday and see what you think.
