Cafe Rio Fundraiser for UHP Trooper Ellsworth on Dec. 8

Cafe Rio Mexican Grill is hosting a fundraiser for the family of UHP trooper Eric Ellsworth on Dec. 8 at the Riverdale and North Ogden locations. Trooper Ellsworth passed away on November 23 after being critically injured while on duty.

A spokesperson for Cafe Rio said the restaurant chain will be collecting donations made during open hours on Dec.8 at 4015 Riverdale Rd., and 2629 N 400 E, North Ogden. The donations will be split equally between the Ellsworth Family Fund and the Utah 1033 Foundation, which supports the families of Utah’s fallen officers.

 

Donations can be made via a tip jar by the register and through credit cards. In memoriam, Trooper Ellsworth’s UHP patrol car will be at the North Ogden location during lunch hours and the Riverdale location during dinner hours on the day of the fundraiser.
