“Up in Smoke” Class and Lunch

Ever wanted to know the secrets of smoking meat? Matt Pelton, two-time International Dutch Oven World Champion and barbecue chef is hosting a cooking demo and lunch called “Up in Smoke” Saturday, March 29 at 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Fort Publishing’s  warehouse, 2373 W. 700 S. in Springville.

Ten percent of all proceeds will be donated to the Utah Food Bank.

Pelton will demonstrate proper techniques of preparing and smoking meat, including smoking a whole hog. Two ticket options are available: A $10 ticket includes lunch. The $16.99 ticket includes lunch and a copy of Pelton’s new cookbook, “Up in Smoke,” (Cedar Fort, $18.99).

Last fall, Matt wowed food writers from all over the U.S. with his cooking demo in Park City for the Association of Food Journalists. His cookbook, “Dutch Oven Pies,” was already recently released by Cedar Fort.
