Biggest Loser Finale Predictions

Tonight, we’ll find out who “The Biggest Loser” is for Season 14 at the season finale. It’s down to Rachel, David and Bobby.

I thought this is one of the best seasons to watch, people-wise. Supposedly, conflict and controversy make a more interesting story, but I really didn’t miss all of the bickering and back-stabbing so prevalent in past years. In past seasons, the show’s voting-off-the-ranch set-up made it necessary to strategize, form alliances, and “play the game.”

But  this time around, it was mainly just a matter of dropping below the red line. I don’t understand why or how they decided which episodes to have the teams vote, but I think Jay picked an unfortunate time to gain weight. He was one of the strongest competitors, and when the chance came to eliminate him, he was gone.

Jillian’s psycho rants and screaming fits have also been pretty much absent. I don’t know if she was told to tone it down, or perhaps motherhood is bringing out her softer side. Or maybe, her screaming footage is being edited out so viewers don’t have to deal with it. But, it’s a welcome change. Nobody likes a bully.

Who of the three finalists will win?

Rachel is probably the most competitive. But, last week she was 150 pounds. She doesn’t have that much to lose before she’s down to skin and bones.

Bobby has proven that he’s a comeback kid — he was voted off once and worked his way back. He’s shown his determination, but is it enough?

David has been pretty consistent. He started out with a lot of weight to lose. But will coming home to his responsibilities as a husband and parent make it hard to stay focused?

I’m not a betting woman, but if I were, my money would be on David. For the at-home prize, I’m hoping for Hap, since he’s from Utah and I always cheer for the home team.

ruben_studdardIt will be interesting to see if Ruben Studdard has been able to take off more pounds. He seemed to be a nice guy, but after getting getting “saved” a few times and then blowing those chances, he didn’t seem very motivated.

At any rate, it’s always fun to see how great the contestants look. I wonder if Jay will wear his trademark cowboy hat?
