Sandy’s Fine Foods Celebration
Sandy’s Fine Food to Pass Down Family Tradition and Host Customer Appreciation Month
Ogden, Utah (November 2, 2011) – After 35 years in business, Sandy and Lyle Evertsen will pass down their family restaurant to their three youngest daughters on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. Sandy and Lyle will mark the milestone and show their gratitude to their customers with a customer appreciation month.
The Evertsens’ will pass down the restaurant family tradition to their daughters during a community open house this Saturday. The public is invited to attend the free celebration of Lyle and Sandy’s legacy in which light hors d’oeuvres will be served. The open house will be the official ceremony to pass down the restaurant to their three youngest daughters, Suzy Fackrell, Kristen Hill and Tiffany Nash. The trio will continue the tradition.
In recognition of their gratitude, the Evertsens’ will host a customer appreciation month this November. Guests will have the option of dining on a special “2 for $20” menu, enjoying two entrees and two slices of pie. The menu consists of patron’s favorites including Chicken Fried Steak, Fish & Chips, Burger Supreme, All-You-Can-Eat Salad Bar, Santa Fe Salad, Grilled Chicken Dinner and Turkey Supreme.
“We are overwhelmed with the feelings our girls have expressed for the restaurant. Their personal lives are already full, so we’re naturally touched that they desire to continue the family business. We didn’t realize Sandy’s was such a part of their hearts. We are full of gratitude for them and the many friends and customers who have supported us through the years,” said Sandy Evertsen, owner of Sandy’s Fine Food.
The tradition of fresh homemade pies and food, that Ogden has grown to love, will continue at Sandy’s. They will use the same great recipes that have been used throughout the years. Additionally, the daughters will implement a few further offerings to the menu including homemade to-go dinners.
Kristen Hill said, “As a working mother, I am often too tired to cook a well-balanced family dinner and I don’t want to feed my kids fast food. The homemade to-go dinners will allow for a good nutritious meal.”
Dinners for a family of four will start at $24.99. They will be hot and ready to serve when you pick them up and include an entrée, two vegetables and homemade rolls. Sandy’s anticipates offering breakfast at the beginning of 2012.
Sandy’s Fine Food is located at 3233 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401. The open house is free and open to the public. For additional information, call 801.399.0032 or visit www.sandysfood.com
