Utah Chefs Compete For Free Restaurant Space in Sandy

Thirteen chef finalists will be competing May 6 for a restaurant spot at the Shops at South Towne. Shoppers on May 6 will also be winners, because they can taste the chefs’ signature dishes and vote for their favorite.

The Taste of the Space at the Shops at South Towne is free to public, and all ages are welcome. From 12-4 p.m. , each chef will provide free signature-dish samples for public tasting and voting.

The winner will receive $50,000 and a restaurant space the the Shops at South Towne dining terrace, with six months of free rent.

This is a great opportunity for a would-be restaurateur. Many chefs dream of opening their own restaurant, but it’s hard to find investors and come up with the money.

Arancini Snack , LLC. (Italian)

Cafe India (Indian)

CupBop (Korean BBQ)

Fat Kid Mac n Cheese (American)

Just Kebabs (Mediterranean)
